National Population Commission training for 786,741 employees kicks off. employees would receive training and deployment for the 2023 Census.
The National Population Commission revealed on Monday, January 23, that it will be putting together a team of 786,741 employees to help with the impending census.
This team will consist of 623,797 enumerators, 125,944 supervisors, 24,001 assistants for data quality, 12,000 field coordinators, 1,000 managers for data quality, 1639 administrators for centers, and 59,000 facilitators at the LGA level.
The National Population Commission has started training functionaries for the exercise in all states of the union and the Federal Capital Territory as of Monday, January 23, 2023, according to the statement. The 2023 Population and Housing Census is scheduled to take place from March 29 to April 2, 2023.
Enumerators, supervisors, field coordinators, data quality assistants, and data quality managers were among the first group of employees to receive training.
The statement went on to say that the staff members would receive training in census forms, census applications, data collection procedures, interpersonal communication, and fundamental computer assisted personal interview troubleshooting.
The NPC further urged all parties to assist the commission in ensuring a successful census by lending their assistance.
